Saturn clashes with Uranus as the contest reaches its climax

Just as the US elections take place, Uranus opposes Saturn, a depiction
on a cosmic scale of the struggle taking place to decide who will lead
America into the next decade.

Saturn is all about the material world, the rules and constraints that
imposes, the necessary limitations if stablity and order are to be
obtained. Saturn brings tests and trials to see if something is right
for you or not.

Uranus on the other hand is the first of the outer planets more linked
to the spirit than the material world, it offers liberation,
enlightenment, freedom and a heady sense of adventure. But all this can
seem rather scary and unpredictable, as indeed it is.

You do not have to look far for the parallels in the two presidential
candidates. Take a look at the online charts for them both
and it is all there.

Senator McCain is all about the art of the possible, he is a doer
and a pragmatist, he supports the status quo, he believes that power
and might decide the day.  And he likes nothing more than a challenge,
finally in the last few days of his campaign he has burst into life as
he once again fights for his survival.

For the horoscope of Barack Obama visit

Senator Obama has framed his whole long campaign around the theme of
change, just in case  you did not realize it is sweeping unprecedented
change that is on the agenda, should his high opinion polls be
translated into actual votes in the privacy of the polling booths.

The armies of lawyers wait to contest registrations and actual votes.
The fog of war descends. Do not expect an immediate result to this
election as the battle intensifies around the key states of Ohio in the
industrial belt, Pennsylvania on the eastern seaboard and Florida
far to the south where the retirees go.

It could be the western states, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada,
California, Washington and Oregon which swing it for Obama finally.

There, the coming move of the center of gravity of the US west across
the mighty Mississippi, as the East and China dominate the course of the
world economy, is set to take place.

And who better to be aware of the great momentous changes going on in
the world than someone born on the very furthest fringes of the US,
in the Hawaiian Islands of the Pacific?

From now on the drum beat you hear playing a very different tune
comes out of the rapidly growing tumult that is the Asian continent
bursting with people, ideas and new ways of doing business.

As America goes to the polls, the world watches, waits and wonders.
The very different direction the US is about to take is a source of
both hope and anxiety.

But then change always was, is and will be.
